A footnote on page 41 from Davies's *Extracts from the Municipal Records of
the City of York during the reigns of Edward IV. Edward V. and Richard
III*(1843).
The nobility of these times were assisted n the management of their
domestic affairs by a council, composed of gentlemen of family and fortune,
some of whom were the principal officers of their household. (Paston
