ARTICLE: Richard III in Leicester: a note of scepticism

I thought this worth posting if only to give us a bit of perspective, in
case there are more critics of Leicester's PR machine.
Back in February, the Guardian weighed in with the blog article referenced
below. It was written by a classicist (ancient historian by training), and
the claws regarding Leicester (at least the uni -- archaeological team --
at this point) were already coming out regarding archaeology hype vs.
actual history. There are nearly 200 comments at bottom of page, with one
commenter summarizing the two camps: "many archaeologists are looking at
the benefits to our profession rather than the historical impact."
"Richard III in Leicester: a note of scepticism: Has this more to do with
media coverage and 'impact' than a genuinely intellectual field of inquiry?"
