Lances?

Does anyone here know whether Richard and his knights actually carried
lances during their final charge down the hill at Bosworth?
Thanks so much.

You should read some of the reviews on the 'White Princess'; being nasty I always start with the one star ones. PG is accused of 'trashing Henry Tudor', to one commentator the most enlightened monarch who ever reigned and who single-handedly saved England :) Obviously Thomas Penn didn't know his stuff. What's more, she's accused of historical inaccuracy for attacking the Tudors - heaven forfend! The Woodville curse will apparently wipe out the Tudor dynasty via Liz I. Can't see any mention of Richard of Eastwell, Marie. Hilary

Single handedly saved England from what exactly - years of peaceful, enlightened Yorkist rule, because I suspect that's what we'd have got if Richard had lived
