As if any of you have forgotten, today, October 2nd, is King Richard's
birthday.
Many, many, many happy returns your grace.
I wish you the very, very best on this your 552nd.
May the future hold the rehabilitation of your character in history,
and in the public realisation that the name Richard the Third stands
not for villainy, but for honour, loyalty, caring for the common good,
and courage.
Loyalty also binds me, as it did you, to you and your memory.
Paul Trevor Bale
you're never too old to launch your dreams
birthday.
Many, many, many happy returns your grace.

Here I am with another begging question, to which I hope someone can
confirm the answer. During the time that the first John Howard was Duke of
Norfolk, and his wife was therefore the duchess, did Elizabeth, widow of John
Mowbray, the previous Duke of Norfolk, become a dowager duchess? Or what was her
title during this period? Then, when John Howard died at Bosworth, was attainted
and his titles forfeit, his widow would have ceased to be duchess, so did
Elizabeth become the only Duchess of Norfolk again? Help? Anyone?
