How many Poles were there?
How many Poles were there?

According to a Society source, there were five (only one name given - Montague).
From our e-mail exchanges, I have composed this list:
HENRY, Lord Montagu(e) (1492-1539) (definitely the eldest)
REGINALD, Cardinal (1500-58)
Sir GEOFFREY (d.1558) (definitely the third son)
URSULA (no dates) (m Henry Stafford, had nine children, including Thomas)
Does anyone know if there was a fifth; if so, the name and date?
I have just read my grandfather's death certificate, reminding me that his birthday was February 25th (1902), the same as Edward, Earl of Warwick (1475)!

If I can follow a precedent by answering my own question:
HENRY, Lord Montagu (1492-1539) had four children (CATHERINE 1508-76,
THOMAS d.1526, HENRY 1521-42 and WINIFRED 1525-?).
REGINALD (1500-58); we know all about him except that Lady Maregaret
planned to marry him to Princess Mary. He served her as Cardinal and
almost a "spare husband".
SIR GEOFFREY (1501-58) married Constance Pakenham and had eleven
children.
SIR ARTHUR (1502-35) had three children.
URSULA (1504-76) had nine children. Her husband, Lord Henry Stafford,
died in 1563 and was succeeded by two sons, HENRY and then EDWARD,
whose descendants seem to have flourished long after 1603. Lord
Henry's sister, Margaret was hanged in 1537 after the Pilgrimage of
Grace (keeping up the family tradition). THOMAS sailed to Scarborough
from Dieppe.
This gives Lady Margaret 27 grandchildren. She is the Clapham
Junction of Yorkist genealogy.
Have I swallowed the DNB? No, but I have found it online. I may be
able to solve the Jane de la Pole - Stonor question later.
