I knew that he quelled the Scots reivers, but this was new to me: "The English Border Reiver families respected his presence and his hold over their activities. The nightly raids were curtailed, became more spasmodic. Then the Grahams, Nobles, Musgraves, Carletons, Dacres and others moved north only on his instructions or at their peril."

It helped me understand part of what he was doing as the West March Warden for England under his brother. I wish we had more details of what exactly he did to quell the English as well as the Scots reivers...and at so young an age since he began doing it at 19.

Or did his marrying Anne make it all possible?

Very interesting Weds. It also proves that there are records out there giving a bit more evidence to prove our case that Richard was far from the murdering portrayed by the Tudors and Shakespeare.
