Hi,

I am working my way through a pile of books on Richard III which I bought a couple of years ago from Amazon UK.

I have just finished Secret History by Rev John Dening which is different to say the least. In the book, he says he was chaplain to the Society of Friends of Richard III. He passed away in 2008 but can anyone here tell me in what stead he and his ideas are/were held?

Thanks,

Greg.

Hi Greg I actually love his book and so I know do one or two here. In fact we were saying that it was strange how the findings of Richard's remains confirm the blow to the back ot the head and the instant loss of consciousness. From what I gather Dening was a well-respected member and not at all given to flights of fancy or mumbo-jumbo. As with a lot of things about Richard nothing is ever as grounded as it seems. H

Greg I really enjoyed this little book and the part on the possible causes of Edwards death is worth the purchase price alone,
There is a member of this forum who posts from time to time who actually had a telephone conversation with this gentleman,,Eileen
