Apologies to Sandra if you've already given us this link! Geneanet has posted an interesting article (originally from BBC News) on the (re)burial debate (nothing derogatory about Richard though it suggests that the debate itself is becoming tiresome): http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-leicestershire-26526790
It makes a couple of interesting points, first, that if the debate goes on much longer, it's likely to last longer than Richard's 26-month reign, and, second, that many people seem to forget that Richard has already had a Christian funeral and is, in the words of a Roman Catholic priest from Leicester, "his body was given back to God."
There's also a link to an audio interview of a mathematician, who calculates the number of Richard's living relatives based on the assumption that his nieces and nephews had an average of two surviving children and so on down the generations. Of course, we know that not all of them had children and that some of the lines died out, but, even so, the number would greatly exceed the membership of the Plantagenet Alliance. The interview is light-hearted, not at all antagonistic to Richard, and lasts only about two minutes.
Please note that I have no stake in the debate and only want it to end so that Richard can be respectfully and appropriately reburied.
