I hope the group doesn't mind but I found this book on ebay (no i'm
not the seller) and thought somebody might be interested
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5515384280
it is the geneology of Richard III. Wish the Aussie dollar wasn't so
low...oh well!

It does look good.
I have found a Lady Margaret biography on Amazon for over forty
pounds and they don't even have a price for the Ruvigny volumes.

Thanks for finding this book, Beth. I had a look at the eBay
listing...the seller thinks Richard III is Richard the Lion-Heart.
(But the book does seem to be about the geneology of Richard Duke of
York and Cecily Neville.)
Unfortunately, I'm more interested in their descendants, but I'd love
to bid on the book. Maybe I'll win the lottery within the next
week....

Ann:
Stephen, do you want to buy a set of Ruvigny?
If you do, the reprint is available from Genealogical Publishing
Company, at http://www.genealogical.com/item_detail.asp?afid=&ID=5051

Ann:
Stephen, do you want to buy a set of Ruvigny?
Stephen:
It is very tempting, thankyou, but I had better not.
Ann again:
I suppose if we wait until they are reissued in CD format, or
something similar, we can hope for lots of color illustrations from
original sources, AND they'd take up less space.

I have just borrowed the Clarence volume from my main library and it
is mind-blowing! There are some nice portraits and plenty of tables
with lists of interesting people but the style is a little old-
fashioned.
Henry Pole the Younger (d.1542) and his cousin Thomas Stafford are
missing. It is fantastic but a little heavy.
Now the DNB is on CD-R and Burke's is online. No wonder small-time
researchers prefer contemporary websites.

Ann again:
DNB and Burke's probably do, too ... it ought to be much easier to
make inconspicuous corrections if you can do it electronically.
