Reading about sixteenth century history again is a strange
experience. Thanks to Mackie, I have discovered that George Hastings,
eldest son of Francis of Huntingdon and Catherine Pole, married Lady
Catherine Grey and was caught up in the plot.
Hastings and Huntingdon were both sent to the Tower.
After their release, Huntingdon led a force to defeat Wyatt in 1554.
It makes a change from the earlier chapters, in which the Yorkist
procession to the Tower is strictly one way.
