I dont know if this has been noted by anyone but here is a fascinating PBS program on Richard, his scoliosis and how it and his lifestyle may have affected his abilities as a warrior.

Re: Resurrecting Richard III
Thank you for the link to the PBS program. This is the American edition of the documentary that was aired in the UK on August 17th by Channel4.
I confirm the part with Dominic Smee as human replica of Richard's scoliosis is fascinating, while on the "diet side" they insisted in the very silly conclusions that Richard's new "royal diet" affected his general fitness and eventually his ability to fight in battle, while none of the expertes that worked on the analysis of the isotopes in his bones ever said anything like that.

My personal feeling is that once the myth of the hunchback was officially debunked, something else must be found wrong for the sake of sensationalism at the cost of neglecting historical records and contemporary lifestyle, which was commented on hand of 21st angloamerican attitude to what is considered socially acceptable alcohol intake and what is not (considerations that are even nowadays completely different in e.g. Southern Europe).
Have a good day. Mac

Thanks so much for link, been wanting to see this, it was fascinating.
Kudos to the kid Dom for doing all that involved. It's odd that he was a reenactor at Bosworth and has a very similar curvature to Richard. Fate I guess, like Richard actually being found!
