Jan here. When I lived in Witney 40 years ago new husband & I often walked to Minster Lovell along the river valley & very damp & ruinous it then was. I don't remember any mention of frequent visits by the king! Indeed there was very little there although it was picturesque.It looks much prettier & sunnier in the Experience picture.

I think you must be referring to my "bodyguard?" question in relation to the Lovell TV program. Mea culpa. The post was from Weds, who signed herself "Wednesday Mac." My poor old brain registered only the Mac.
Can we please quote the posts we're referring to, or at least paraphrase what the other person has said and identify the person we're responding to? It will help avoid additional confusion and eliminate the need to search up thread to find the original post.
