How many times have we all been told that the Yorkists never amounted
to anything, or even died out, after Bosworth?
Even Claire Cross, biographer of Henry of Huntingdon, is at it. She
says that the four Pole brothers all failed to leave male heirs.
Apart from the trivial case of Henry Pole the Younger, who survived
his father by four years, Sir Geoffrey had paternal grandsons, one of
whom was assassinated in Rome as late as 1619, noted by Ruvigny.
It is still a very good book.
