Another interesting post-Bosworth development

I have just learned, from Tim Powys-Lybbe's website, that Winifred
Pole's elder son, Sir Francis Barrington Bt., married Oliver
Cromwell's aunt, Joan, a marriage from which TP-L is descended.

The Barrington baronetcy lasted until 1832 when Sir Fitzwilliam died,
his daughter Julia having married Henry Powys.

Hence the Civil War featured:

FOR PARLIAMENT
Cromwell, cousin to a Baronet descended from Clarence;
Robert (3rd Earl of Essex), descended from Richard's aunt Isabel;

FOR THE KING
Arthur (Baron Hadham), descended from Anne of Exeter;
Ferdinando (6th Earl of Huntingdon), descended from Clarence
