Leicester Cathedral Memorial Stone

There is an article in the Leicester Mercury (yesterday) that is mentioning how the memorial ledger stone from St Martin's is being moved to the Visitor Centre for display and it states that "it was donated to the diocese....[....]..... by the Leicestershire branch of the Richard III Society".

I had understood that it was a Society-wide project, funded by members from all across the UK. Can anyone point me towards any accurate information on this - especially information accessible online, since Society Bulletins from 30+ years ago are not digitally available (as yet).
