March eclipse
March eclipse

Has anybody else noticed (and slightly freaked out by) the
impending solar eclipse? Granted it's not to be seen in the US, but in the UK
it's claimed to be up to 90% totality. This is due on 20 March at 0930
(ish). Anne Neville died on 16 March during an eclipse. Now, granted, the dates
aren't exact, even with the Gregorian/Julian calendar taken into consideration,
but for an event that's as infrequent as an eclipse, it's still scarily close.
Even more so as it's roughly half way between the anniversary of Anne's death
and Richard's reburial. You can see how it was treated as an
omen!
And Paul - you really are so lucky! You are our collective
representitive and you will do us proud! We will all be there in spirit with
you!
York Minster is also having a service on the 26th, free to all
at around noon, with various other events around the town and guildhall (which I
believe is ticketed). Despite living only 42 miles away, I can't get the day off
work so unable to go. Far from happy!
