Britain's Real Monarch - again

Britain's Real Monarch - again

I watched the repeat yesterday morning, understanding the 16th century much better than I did in January. Still a good programme. Then I tried www.channel4.com/history and printed the PDF file.

There are about three errors in the dates but I may soon be on Castelli and Tompsett to fill in the gaps (spouses etc).

You all are making me quite jealous. I sense by your spellings most of you are British, so it would make sense there are a slew of historical programs detailing our favorite historical period. In America, everyone assumes we just can't get enough Founding Fathers and removes most of the other historical study we might be interested in.

I can think of an impolite four letter word peripherally meaning
rubbish (trash for our American cousins) which just about describes
it. Hopefully this will kill off Robinson's post-Time Team career?
What hope can we have for serious Ricardian studies if the media
insists on serving up that kind of dross? At least it did not come
out of the license fee! One can only hope that even Michael K Jones
(let alone the other academics sandbagged at the Keele C15th
conference) was abashed to be associated with such nonsense.

Unfortunately somebody at Channel 4 loves Tony, so it isn't the last we
shall see of him.
I wish he'd get a panto or something and go back to "acting" so that he
no longer has time for "history".
