Many of us are agreed about Edward of Lancaster, his mother probably
having "outsourced paternal duties".
Jones' Hypothesis states that Edward IV was illegitimate: good but
not conclusive.
I was surfing for T.B.Pugh, the "Southampton Plot" writer, last night
and he thinks Richard of Cambridge was illegitimate as well.
In terms of regal claims, this would change nothing, of course.

Curious.

Can't say I blame her really! Who are the main candidates for his
father again?

A LYON
The usual candidate is Edmund Beaufort, 2nd Duke of Somerset, who was killed at the First Battle of St Albans.
