One of the contestants undertook Elizabeth I as a subject. As you know, I read Johnson's biography for a paragraph on Thomas Stafford and some information on Henry of Huntingdon.
Sadly, the contestant was consulting the "groupies" i.e. Starkey and Weir, although he also read Black from the Oxford History Series.

Thanks to Johnson, some of his answers were fresh in my mind.
