Richard's charters of liberties
Richard's charters of liberties

Richard granted charters of liberties to several cities, not only York but the borough of Grantham, Galway (Ireland), Gloucester, Llanymthevery (sp?) in South Wales, Pontefract, and probably others that I haven't found. I know that Ireland in general supported the House of York well into Henry VII's reign, so I assume that Galway remained loyal to Richard and his house and , of course, we know that York tried to send eighty men to fight with him at Bosworth, but does anyone know whether the other cities in my list (or others to which he granted charters) remained loyal to Richard?
BTW, I keep reading the term "Lancastrian" but shouldn't that be "Tudorite" or some such term given that the legitimate Lancastrian line died with Henry VI and his son Edward and Henry VII's Lancastrian claim was through the Beauforts?
