This phenomenon of the the three suns joining to form one is
explained as light being refracted through ice cyrstals and rare.
This leaves me puzzled. How can ice crystals be rare??? Especially
as, I seem to remember reading, Winters were harder in those days???
Why is this such a rare phenomenon and how does it happen anyway.
Any scientist out there care to explain???
