Oh dear. I swear, April is the unluckiest month of the year...

Thank you for the reminder Paul. Hmm, wonder how this would sit with
the newlyweds, being blessed in his chapel, knowing what we do about
Edward and his matrimonial problems. Not being terribly superstitous,
I
still would not have picked this date!

Upuntil (sp?) Edward's death wasn't Easter time a lucky time for
Edward?? I mean, military victories and so? To me that goes to
show how pointless it is to be to superstious.

I was just reading this thread-- my parents celebrated
their 50th anniversary Saturday 9th. We gave them a
big party, lots of fun. Lucky for me, the marriage
date 50 years ago wasn't bad for them :-)

I don't know about April being a "bad" month, but I am very glad and pleased for Charles and Camilla, they looked so happy together and she looked absoulately beautiful, beaming in fact, as to the dress sense of the rest of the group, they left alot to be desired, I never thought that we would see the marriage of Charles and Camilla ever take place, but now that it has, I for one wish them all good luck and happiness.... It's just a bit of a running "thing" in my family, as April is host to Edward IV's death, the sinking of the Titanic, Hitler's birthday, tax week (in America at least), the death of Pope John Paul II, and a host of other unfortunate events.
