I did write an e-mail to the editor of the U.S. News and World
Report.
Here is the response I got back....
"Thank you for writing to U.S. News.
The large volume of email the magazine receives prevents our
responding personally and allows us to publish only a representative
sampling. But the views of our readers are important and helpful,
and
we are grateful that you took the time to write. As always, we will
share your comments with the appropriate members of our editorial
staff, and we hope you will continue to send us your thoughts and
suggestions."
I did learn that in order to be considered for publication of your
letter, it has to have your name, address and contact. They will not
print that but I guess they need it for their records.
Anyway, I still urge folks to send mail to the magazine. Here is
the
e-mail address:
letters@ usnews.com

Maybe the old fashioned way would get a better response?

Well, I have now sent both the e-mail and the snail mail addresses.
So choose your favorite. I just think we should not let such an
obvious slur go unanswered.
