I have discovered a few more facts in Loades:
One of Stafford's supporters, also executed, was Roger Reynolds.
Jean Ribaut commanded one of his vessels and he seems not to have been executed as he was associated with Sir Henry Dudley.
He definitely had a trial.
He was associated with one Thomas Brooke, cousin to the Captain of Scarborough.
Opposition to Mary's regime was fragmented; religious refugees headed for the Low Countries, political exiles for France.
