The BBC History magazine for June 2005 has a half page advertisement
headlined
"Who Murdered the Princes?" next to what is I imagine the cover of
this new novel
Richard III White Boar a Novel by Kathleen Ann Milner.
Here we go again I thought to myself, but worse is to follow in the
blurb...
"Kathleen Milner uses her innate psychic abilities..."
psychic???
"...and writing skills to weave a fascinating, yet historically
accurate tale."
accurate and psychic???
"In the process she depicts a credible answer to a 500-year-old mystery.
Part II explains how information came to her through research, site
exploration and out-of-the-ordinary experiences."

"Readers of Between Two Worlds: The Story of Henry VIII and Anne
Boleyn - and Her Celtic Heritage found Part II to be as intriguing as
Part I."

We may find out where Alison Weir gets her insights?!!

Why do they always begin articles/books blah blah with the words "who murdered the
princes?" Why do they always assume because they disappeared they were murdered. To
think that people are today still making money from this clapped out old story.
best wishes Eileen

Egad! Next we will have the Pet Psychic channeling Richard's horse
for the true account of the Bosworth battle!

I gather some of you are sceptic about psychics then?

As historians, yes. I tend to prefer people who do research in the
real world.

I have a suspicion that she may find Richard innocent and that will only help his enemies! All Richardians might be smeared by this.

As to Weir, in a strange way her book is almost a backhand compliment to the Ricardians. I suspect to get it published and noticed she had to push the Traditionalist line for that what now has become controversial! Same goes for Seward's book.

I read an interview with her and she sounds so desperate to be taken seriously as an historian.

Agreed totally Eileen! First they have to prove a murder took place,
but it isn't such an eye catcher of course.
