As I reflect on Richard's life and death I wonder what he would think of our Society. Would he think we are a bunch of loons or considering how loyalty was such a factor in his life and career, would he be pleased.
Tonight I will raise a glass to toast Richard and my father who passed away two years ago today.

Not to toot our collective horns or anything, but I think he'd be very lucky to have us, although I doubt he'd approve of that time I carved "Loyaulte me lie" into wet cement near school, or the hours I've spent explaining the significance of the roses of York in the school planter to students who just didn't care.
