Please take a moment for prayer and or thought for our members and
everyone else who have been affected by the devastating aftermath of
Katrina along the Gulf coast of the U.S.

Thank you. Our newsletter editor/publisher/printer has
evacuated to Houston with her family and is safe. We
ar anxiously awaiting word about Peggy Allen, our
former membership secretary, former treasurer, and
current sales office manager/web person/all around
hard worker, who lives in the suburb of Metairie. With
no power, of course, she can't recharge her cell phone
and get out to us.
I am listening to New Orleans television right now
(the screen with the video is behind this window) and
they are in the process of organizing a complete move
of all the residents currently in the New Orleans
stadium to the Astro-Dome in Houston, from whence they
will be placed in shelters with more amenities.
The work needed to help rebuild this shattered area is
mind-boggling. I have placed a link to the Red Cross
website on the homepage of the American Branch; I am
hoping that there will be philanthropic efforts in
other countries to help our people in their time of
need.

My sincere sorrow for what has happened in your lovely
Country, I pray for you all. Hope that any of our
members out there are safe, I will light a candle for
the terrible loss of life and that those that have
lost family and friends may be comforted by
God.......Liz
