In 1605, Sir Geoffrey Pole's grandson Arthur, b.c. 1575, was killed in
Rome and his brother, b.c. 1577, was also killed in Rome in 1619.
This information comes from Castelli. Does anyone know any more?

Thanks. It looks as if he was mixed up in Italian affairs of some
sort, as opposed to anything English, and I shall try your
suggestions when I have a free day, also for Geoffrey.

Thankyou, I have now confirmed these references in Burke's; the new
edition has the iunformation on p.18, noting that Edmund (k.1619) was
the last Pole in Lady Margaret's male line.
