Execution
Execution

On University Challenge last night there was a question asking what
fate did John Wycliffe, King Richard III, and Oliver Cromwell share?
The answer was "they were all posthumously executed".
Well that is news to me about Richard, unless you count throwing his
bones into the River Soar at the Reformation (if they indeed were).

I suppose that, in a perverse way, it's like getting an OBE: only these
wouldn't have to do as much schmoozing.

I have not heard of this before but have read about a thief being
hanged in Edward VI's time. His last words were "God curse the Bishop
of Rome".
You can probably guess the rest!
