More genealogical curiosity

After the Pilgrimage of Grace, Sir John Bulmer was beheaded and his
wife, Margaret, was either beheaded or burned. Her maiden name was
Stafford and her father was Edward Duke of Buckingham.
According to Castelli, they left three small children (given the
surname, half-pints?). Whatever happened to them? Now I have a new
source.

Stephen was Margaret Buckingham's (the one executed by Richard) granddaughter?

Oh yes - I can think of a certain yellow booklet that would answer
more questions like this.
As it happens, van den Pas has no information on her but another
visit to Castelli reminds me that she left four children. John
Bulmer, the youngest, lived from 1536 to 1608.
I need another source.

OK Ok Ok - where do I get this little yellow booklet from? My life is obviously incomplete
without it :-)

try www.rootsweb.com
put in your person of interest with known dates/locations. click the field
has notes/sources/descendents. aside from getting verification it helps winnow out the volume of hits you may make.
look for gedcoms that cite CP, or other valid sources.

also surf the internet for other people who may the genealogical and source materials they may have. use the person's name in quotes, i.e. "stephen lark" and "lark, stephen" as your search term, plus location and words like genealogy..family..history and of course known locations.

university archives are also excellent places to look for documents and/or books about your person of interest. local family history societies and public record offices for each county that your individual may have lived in can also hold obscure info.
you can also surf the A2A catalogue...don't be afraid to use ye olde spelling variants.
http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/search/quick_search.aspx

the IGI may net you some luck too, per location or spelling variant. seldom do they have: notes/sources.

Thanks, I have found something particular to the Bulmer name and will
make it one of my projects for tomorrow.
