If I were writing the forensic report, I'd title it 'Joan's Bones'.

or..a spark d'arc?
joan is really quite interesting.
there are a few myths about her. she's rumoured to be an illegitmate daughter of one of the valois. her chief military supporter (i can't remember his name) is rumoured to be the start of the bluebeard legend. the pervert was kidnapping, mutilating/torturing children from one his villages...he was really quite disgusting...the villagers rose up against him, and if i recall burnt him at the stake too.
and then there is the rumour joan survived and went off and married. i stumbled upon this stuff while searching "de grey". jehan/jean/john de gris/grey/gray was only one of two people outside of the inquistors who were allowed to speak to joan.

Bluebeard was Gilles de Rais. He was quite a piece of work along the
line of Elizabeth Bathory.

'Spark d'Arc' it is.
Do you want to co-author the paper? I've watched enough CSI (all three)
to fake up a good document. As for the evidence, let's "send it to
trace" as 'real' crime scene investigators say. Then we'll "dust for
prints" while being careful to "check for spatter".
Oh, wait a minute, this might be tougher than I thought. Joan of Arc
wasn't found dead in a bikini on Miami Beach. and she probably didn't
have a unique lower back tattoo featuring a little Chinese thingy. Looks
like the task is impossible, Roslyn.
