Hello, folks. I can't recall whether I posted this to this forum or
not, but the website for the exhibition of medieval manuscripts
including the Edward IV Roll, Leaves of Gold, has been redesigned.
The new exhibition site makes it easier for you to find and bookmark
individual manuscripts, and has a section of teaching/learning
resources designed for younger learners.

The Edward IV Roll is a magnificent propaganda genealogy of Edward
IV, elder brother (as we all know) of Richard III. It's among the
medieval manuscript holdings of the Free Library of Philadelphia, and
is one of Philadelphia's pre-eminent medieval treasures. Funds for
conservation of this manuscript (to clean it, stabilize surface
media, remove wrinkles, and repair some tears, etc.) were provided by
the Richard III Society, the American Branch, and donations from
individual members.

These manuscripts were on display March - May 2001 at the
Philadelphia Museum of Art and September 2001-January 2002 at the
Frist Center for the Visual Arts, Nashville TN.

There are also images of a Book of Hours illustrated by the Master of
the Hours of Edward IV, a manuscript of statutes of the reign of
Edward IV illustrated with a historiated initial showing King Edward,
and a leaf from the mis-named but splendid "Hours of Henry VII," to
mention a few other items with connections to our period of history.
