I do believe Richard III has gotten a bad or negative reputation, because
of his enemies. Like John of Gaunt's relative Edmund Earl of Lancaster.
According to a William Hardying a contemporary of John of Gaunt he showed
the Edmund was not deformed, but rather handsome. John slander this
individual to disqualify him from succession to the throne, so he
assassinated his character, to allow his own son the chance to be King.
Richard's Enemies assassinated his character, and are still doing it today.
Even though I do not believe Richard murdered his nephews. Where were the
bodies of his young nephews. Would not that be a Habeas Corpus type of
situation?. As much as I do admire my ancestor. I still dislike the way he
treated Henry Wiatt another ancestor. Had he succeeded in killing him I
would not be here to enjoy the benefit of yalls knowledge. He nearly
murdered Henry Wiatt. Why because he did not like the fact that he had a
close relation with the Tudors. I believe he was related to them in someway.
His son Thomas married Elizabeth Brooke. The daughter of Thomas Brooke 6th
Lord Cobham. I wonder if Henry suffered from Post Partum Depression, because
of this.
