According to RootsWeb, Sir Warren Hastings, impeached Governor-General of India, was descended from William Lord Hastings and Henry, Duke of Buckingham, through Edward Hastings, brother of Lord Francis (later Earl of Huntingdon and Catherine Pole's husband).
There is a clear illogicality in the dates in that Edward, who has a clear male line to Sir Warren, appears to be eight years older than Lord Francis. However, it is the birthplace of Loughborough that excited me.

The Edward Hastings on genealogics is six years younger than Francis,
not eight years older. Could there have been an illegitimate older
brother or an uncle? I will look this up soon and communicate with
the GEDCOM owner.
After all, if Edward Hastings were older than Francis and had an
unbroken male line to the Regency period, Warren would have been Earl
of Huntingdon - he may have male line collateral descendants today.
