The Society has approached the powers-that-be at Westminster Abbey
about putting up another notice by the Urn, giving a fairer comment
on its contents.

Well, the wording in the guidebook is certainly equivocal, which is better
than completely condemnatory.
As I recall, there is no signage in English on the urn (which the guidebook
calls a sarcophagus), and the inscription itself is in Latin. I would say
that the reputation of Richard III is much more fairly handled at
Westminster Abbey than at, say, the Tower of London, where the Yeoman
Warders now manage to disparage both Richard III and his defenders in the
same dismissive sentences.
