Woodville kinship connection to Count Dracula

it took me a couple of weeks to sort this one out.
i was some researching woodville connections, one being sigismund the
holy roman emporer as being a cousin to jacquetta st. pol when i read
vlad "the impaler" aka dracula's father was a relative of
sigismund ...so of course i did have to hound that one down.
did dracula and woodville have the same bloodline?
sorry no, it's an inlaw connection. but still it makes good gossip.
here's how vlad and woodville connect.
eliz woodville's mother, jacquetta is a cousin to sigismund. they have
a mutual cousin named jobst/jost/jodokos/josse who was a german king in
the early 1400's. sigismund succeeded him and then became holy roman
emporer. see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jobst_of_Moravia
jost's wife, elisabeth is the bloodline connection to dracula, an
unverified descendent of gengis khaan.
her mother, another elisabeth is the sister of radu, prince of
wallachia. radu is the great grandfather of vlad tepes (the impaler)aka
dracula.
vlad was born in 1431 and died in 1476. given that vlad had a habit of
impaling anyone he disagreed with..including nobility it is likely that
the british peerage also knew of his exploits, particularily in the
later years.
vlad would have impaled more than a few cousins via the european
intermarriage pool.
vlad like e4, was on and off the throne.
vlad first took the throne in 1448 he was deposed within a few months.
he took it again, and held it from 1456 to 1462. he lost it and
regained it in 1476. vlad died 2 years before geo, duke of clarence.
therefore, it is possible elizabeth woodville would have known about
her cousin-in-law's exploits.
btw..this also makes dracula an outlaw-inlaw to the princes in the
tower...
and..smile stephen:
this makes h7/tydder an inlaw-outlaw to his pretty wife's outlaw
inlaw...:-))
woodville's kinfolk were not just benign peasants. knowing that
woodville had such interesting relatives certainly assists in
understanding how and why woodville was determined to be queen of
england..and to what lengths she'd go to to elevate her family and keep
her family on the throne.
here's an easy read bio on woodville's cousin-inlaw
