Message from Forum moderator
I can see from a number of posts that there are issues regarding how some members are critical of other member's postings.
I think we need to understand the purpose of this and other 'Forums' and what they should be offering to all members within it.
The purpose of a 'Forum' is to have a balance of members that are extremely knowledgeable at one end of the spectrum, to those that have joined to soak up information as new enquiring minds. It is most definitely not intended for those old hands to belittle those of a lesser intellect of the subject matter, in fact it should be a case that they should nurture those newbie's and intermediates, have some patience with them for all those repetitive questions that are asked and use positive skills to successfully debate those probing minds that are seeking information in a positive manner rather than being negative. This also means I don't wish to see slamming of postings on minor technicalities.
It's a bit like the drivers of cars, for those of us that do drive and have driven for a good number of years, we can all be intolerant of learners, but just remember, we were once there ourselves. We tend to gloss over this fact as our own road skills have developed. We also have to remember that there will always be new people learning to drive that may irritate us from time to time which on the flip side will always mean that there will always be new people seeking to absorb information on our topic. Please be tolerant and help them as others have helped you in the past.
If anyone from this point on has any problems regarding etiquette then please contact me off line to discuss.
Regards
Neil T

Neil:
The messages are going through again but there is still no chronological order in the topics. As I have started Moderating two related fora, this worries me.
PS Trying to post from the website seemsto take me to the Yahoo home page.
