Nappa Hall near Askrigg in Wensleydale, was built by Thomas Metcalfe in 1450 and his descendant, 86 year-old farmer William Metcalfe, is now trying to sell it.
According to the Mail on Sunday (part 2, page 50), it was built during "Richard III's reign".

i wonder if the manorial documents were ever turned over to archives...or if there are any "treasures" sitting in the attic or walls.
